Upcoming Seed Exchanges
Midsummer global seed exchange: Bishop Paiute Reservation, Bishop, California. Every year on the summer solstice.
This is a coordinated project between staff at global education company Where There Be Dragons and the Bishop Paiute Food Sovereignty Program. Dragons hosts an annual staff training in the eastern Sierra, on the ancestral land of the Bishop Paiute. Instructors have been bringing seeds from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand, Myanmar, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Senegal, Madagascar, and China. In 2018 and 2019, over 100 varieties of seeds exchanged hands.
