Here in the valleys of western Colorado, the Mancos Shale-based soil is extremely alkaline, damaging the hands of everybody who works in it. On the farm, the only things that keeps our hands going through the growing season is our specially-formulated piñon salve!

Ingredients: Apricot kernel oil, Senegalese shea butter, wild-harvested piñon pitch, Paonia organic beeswax

The shea butter comes from our friends in Dakar, Senegal, who source it from their neighbor. The piñon pitch is gathered in the low-elevation piñon-juniper forests of the Colorado Plateau. The beeswax comes from the hives here on the farm.

Piñon pitch is a naturally antifungal and antibacterial. This salve is soothing, healing, and moisturizing, formulated to absorb quickly into skin without leaving an oily residue. It’s great for any dry, irritated, infected, or broken skin. What more can you ask for?
